I personally prefer using these flannel towels over microfiber because of the texture. These, to me, are much softer and don’t cling to my hands the way microfiber does. Now, that is just my opinion. I make my towels out of a single layer of flannel and use my serger to both round the corners (squared corners tend to curl in) and secure the edges so they don’t fray. If you’d like to make these yourself, but don’t have access to a serger, you can use a zigzag stitch on a regular sewing machine. The whole point of these towels is to mimic paper towels in order to make the transition to reusable a little bit easier. If you need to practice making rounded corners on a serger, making these facial rounds can be a big help. I use two layers of cotton flannel and the turning motion is done by the way I move my fingers, the machine does not help with this at all lol These facial rounds are a great replacement for single use, disposable cotton rounds and they can be washed with your regular laundry and used again and again. I have one dedicated to my nail polish removal process. I use regular nail polish remover and just rinse the round out in the sink and then toss it in with my laundry. The round is very stained but I no longer use anything disposable for that process and I’ve never had an issue with the paint transferring onto my clothes. #reducewaste #reusable #ecoswaps #saynotodisposables #makeyourown #makeuprounds

It is difficult to fit all of the info into each video so here are more of the details on these Paperless Towels. As I mentioned, they are made out of cotton flannel and given a serged edge to keep them from fraying. They are machine washable and dryer safe, making them easy to add to a load of laundry you are already going to do. I roll mine up on a cardboard tube and, because flannel clings to things, they do not slide off when I put them on my paper towel holder.
